The TROPICAL DISEASE Foundation Inc., is pleased to announce that the life story of Ms. Mildred A, Fernando, on of TDFI's successfully-treted patients for Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (XDR-TB), will be featured in an episode of ABS-CBN's Maalala Mo Kaya, one of Asia's longest-running drama anthology on television.

The episode will air on October 12, 2013, Saturday, at 7:45 PM and will retell Ms. Fernando's struggles as a TB patient and how she rose above their health condition after ten years of TB treatment.

Ms. Fernando will be played by actress, MS. Angel Locsin and fellow actor Mr. Paulo Avelino, will portray Ms. Fernando's husband, Stuart.

The story is a testament to the work of TDF in fighting TB.
